Ground Report

CHITRAL: 22 February 2014. A certificate distribution ceremony was held in Mountain Inn hotel here on Friday 21st February 2014 by PPAF KFW LACIP SRSP Chitral. The ceremony was organized after the completion of three months vocational training for twenty five female participants from Madaklast community under the LEP component of the project. Syed Mazhar Ali Shah Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) was Chief guest on the occasion while Dr. Fazal-E- Raheem DM-PPHI, District Education Officer Nisar Ahmed, Professor Shams Un Nazar Fatmi also attended the ceremony.  Talking to the participants Tariq Ahmed District Program Manager SRSP said that SRSP was working to alleviate poverty in the backward areas of Chitral where people particularly women had very less opportunities. He said that this trying was aimed to equip women with new skills which will provide opportunities of economic empowerment.  Project Manager of LACIP briefed the participants about the project. This training was conducted by Institute of Women Development Chitral (IWDC).Representing the community social activist from Madaklasht Qazi Khursheed thanked SRSP for its support in socio-economic uplift of the backward area. Chief Guest Mazhar Ali Shah lauded the services of SRSP and said that the district administration was thankful for the generous efforts of SRSP.
