SRSP constructing 80 KV Micro Hydro power house at Baleem of upper Chitral.

CHITRAL: Sarhad Rural support Program (SRSP) launching 80 KV micro hydro power house at Rejun upper of Baleem area at upper Chitral. The plan of hydro power house is financially supporting by Program for Economics Advancement and Community Empowerment (PEACE) a project of European Union. Chief executive officer of SRSP Shahzada Masoodul Mulk was chief guest on the occasion. Addressing on the occasion district program Manager of SRSP Tariq Ahmad said that some 14 million funds have been allocated for this purpose which will provide electricity to 180 beneficiaries.
A public meeting was also held in this connection at Baleem high School under the chair of Ghulam Hussain. Addressing on the occasion elites of the area said that this area is deprive from road, telephone, health facilities and education as well as from electricity. They thanked SRSP for their third dialogue with local community for establishment of 80 KV hydro power house.
Chief Executive Officer SRSP Shahzada Masoodul Mulk emphasized on local community for strengthening their unity and mutual harmony for getting more benefits. He said you will never deprived from your right until you united irrespectively to your cast, political affiliations. Some local women also demanded for establishment of a hospital because they said that women are being carried some 8 KM by feet and sometimes they expired on their way before reaching hospital.
Local people thanked SRSP for construction of 80 KV hydro power house which will electrify some 180 households. A large number of people including women folk also participated in the public meeting and eve of third dialogue for 80 KV MHP.
