Steve Jobs the innovator, the husband, the father, the mastermind behind Apple and many other ideas, what’s less talked about is his drive. What inspired Steve Jobs, what were his enthusiasms and beliefs. It’s well known that the secret behind Apple’s success was Steve Jobs vision, leadership and creativity. He was the Micheal Jackson of Apple and like no other in this world before or after his ideas and creativity will never be measured.
CEO Steve Jobs only paid himself $1 per year, that’s loyalty. Could it be that he was such a pioneer tycoon that his anticipations of his savvy business intelligence gave him peace of mind in solidity. Many believe Jobs’ values were shaped by his upbringing and life experiences. Raised in the hippie counter-culture, Bob Dylan and the Beatles were his favorite artists. The name of Jobs’ company is said to be inspired by the Beatles’ Apple Corps, which he was repeatedly sued for trademark infringement until he signed an exclusive digital distribution deal with iTunes and just like the Beatles he took a spiritual retreat to India where he later conversed to the Buddhism religion.
"I believe life is an intelligent thing, that things aren’t random," Jobs said in a 1997 interview with Time, providing a glimpse into his complicated belief system that extends well beyond the Buddhist teachings.
Jobs never seemed to adhere much to Karma which was a principle of his religion. If he feared Karma coming back on him, then it simply was a hidden fear and the sentiment simply wasn’t evident in his statements about his competitors. Steve Jobs played by his own rules, nearly everything was in secrecy, his Buddhist scriptures, many of Apple’s business dealings and Jobs’ personal struggles. Many believe that Job’s motivations were focus and simplicity. Steve Jobs methodology was to always believe the most important decisions you make are not the things you do, but the things you decide not to do
