Stone pelting terrorism made life miserable in Kashmir: SAYSS

Jammu, August 28 (Scoop News) – Shri. Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti (SYASS) expressed concern over the deteriorating situation in Kashmir valley. The ongoing secessionist campaign has affected the common masses in valley and the minorities living there feel isolated.

The leaders of Samiti while addressing a press conference at its headquarters in Jammu said that the race of competitive communalism is on full display for quite sometime now. The functioning of the government and its presence on ground is not visible.

They express the concern about the survival of minorities in Kashmir valley. The minority Kashmiri Pandit community has already been extirpated by pan Islamic terrorism in 1990 and now the left over KP’s and Sikh community is becoming the target of the wrath of fundamentalist forces. The changed phase of gun militancy into stone pelting terrorism has made the normal life in valley miserable.

 Sangarsh Samiti warns the govt. both in state and at center to ensure the safety and security of the minorities in trouble torn valley.

The leaders made it clear that any sort of concession which dilutes the writ of India in J&K will be fought strongly and the nationalist people throughout the country are ready to give their supreme sacrifice for the total integration of J&K with India.

The leaders also expressed their serious concern on the non-implementation of the agreement that was signed by the leaders of Sangarsh Samiti and the then govt. headed by the hon’ble governor in August 2008. The repeated reminders to the concerned authorities in the govt. have not yielded any results and the unrest among the people in general is brewing up and may reach an explosive situation any time, if the govt. fails to implement the agreement in Toto.
