Stop LoC trade for integration of nation, good relation with Pak

 Jammu & Kashmir: LoC Trade has become biggest threat to Indian integrity and sovereignty right from day one, started in year 2008 as Confidence Building Measure (CBM) between India and Pakistan. Trade started and participation of counted number of traders got engaged and same traders continued as happens in dynasty rule. Not even a single new trader was allowed to start due to reasons best know to traders as well as authorities at the helm of affairs.

Initially, exchange of goods was agreed upon for about 21 items which had never taken place. But in the name of CBM from the other side of LoC goods from China were imported and even fruits and vegetables got over flooded by illegal import but all Indians kept mum, especially, those employees  entrusted to keep strict vigil. The trend of sending arms and ammunitions started by traders on other side till it was detected by wise army of India.

Recently, according to reports apple from China were received by traders on this side. One fails to understand that on one hand apple of Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh hardly finds a suitable customer and on the other China is sending apple fruit to India through LoC trade. On the issue senior politician of Jammu and MLA Jammu West, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta accessed that trade is proving not only scandalous but also encroachment on the sovereignty of India in Jammu and Kashmir and recoiling upon the security matters. All this needed a deep look by some independent agency instead of going under pressures of secessionists and semi secessionists operating in various guises as also self seekers.

It is important to understand that exchange of goods or trade between two dozen people from both sides of LoC can not build confidence between the masses of both parts of divided Kashmir but surely would develop nexus between officers and traders which could be big threat between the expected smooth relationships of two countries. Trade needs to be suspended once for all, Syed Gulzar said adding that here are enough of chilies.
