‘Stop the rubbish tactics,’ says Zaid.

Zaid Ibrahim, one of Anwar’s top lieutenants was visibly upset that some former members of the Opposition Pakatan Rakyat are now coming out and telling the Parliament what transpired in the Opposition camp directly after the 2008 election.

 

This is what the leaders of the Opposition coalition feared most. Stories after stories which are deemed to be very true are told by none other than Datuk Zahrain Husin, a former leader of the PKR in the state of Penang.

 

Zaid Ibrahim is a former Law Minister in the National Front Cabinet of Abdullah Badawi. Moderately liberal by Malaysian standard, he opted to stay out after finding out that his colleagues in the cabinet are not happy with his ideas.

 

Of course, he hooked into PKR by Anwar. If ever there is that element of similarity amongst the inner circle of PKR leaders it is not yet visible up to this point. Deep inside Anwar’s delaying decision lies the nostalgia of an ultra-Malay of yesteryears.

 

Sadly, this must be cloaked in that radical all-encompassing Malaysian tactics. Gone are the cries of ‘Daulat Tuanku’ and ‘Hidup Melayu’.

 

What about Zaid? The cries of ‘Hidup Melayu’ is typically UnZaid. They are poles apart.

 

However, Zaid is now staunchly Pro-PKR. Hours and hours allowed to debate and dissect Anwar’s action made him angry. Well, does he not know that the constant interruptions by PKR’s members of the House took most of the chamber’s time? Datuk Zahrain’s revelation is actually not long. It is just a simple tell-all and hide-none tactic.

 

It looked as if Zaid is afraid that PKR will be strip naked by the time this parliament session ends.
