Stress can affect your weight.
There are many ways in which stress can contribute to weight gain.
One has to do with cortisol,which is a stress hormone.
When we are under stress,fight or flight,cortisol is trigger in our organs.
These leads to the emission of various hormones.
If we become stressed due to the constant demands of work,or if we are real danger,our bodies react as if we are going to be injured and have to fight for our lives.
Metabolism – too much cortisol can impair your metabolism,and can cause weight gain more than general.
Blood sugar – too much stress can affect your blood sugar,causing mood swings and fatigue.
Too much stress can also be linked to metabolic syndrome,which can lead to major health problems such as coronary heart disease and diabetes.
Experts believe that one of the biggest reasons why we see more obese people in our society today,is that many people are too stressed and busy to make healthy dinners at home.
