Stricken by dry spell, the catholic church of the Philippines sought Devine intervention from God

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">After experiencing a long dry spell the religious leaders of the <st1:country-region><st1:place>Philippines</st1:place></st1:country-region>, headed by Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales immediately hears mass to seek Devine intervention from heaven. And after a few days of solemn prayer, rainfall started to pour in selected areas of the <st1:country-region><st1:place>Philippines</st1:place></st1:country-region>. Be it an answer to the prayer or a given reprieved from God, the rain that is being asks has brought temporary relief from water shortages and likewise caused disaster to a number of people who&rsquo;s shelter and family members were affected. In the southern part of <st1:city><st1:place>Manila</st1:place></st1:city>, a number of residences were severely affected because of continuous rain. In the northern part particularly in <st1:place><st1:placename>Baguio</st1:placename> <st1:placetype>City</st1:placetype></st1:place>, a house was half buried caused by a landslide, killing a 9 years old school boy. The downpour is now on its 4^th day and according to the weather forecast, the rain will continue until next week or until 11^th of August.</p>
