Special Tourist Taxi Association (STTA), Tourist Reception Centre (TRC), Jammu, reelected office bearers’ team today as per the election notification. On October 6 election notification was declared wherein till today the voting date no rival approached for nomination. Hence the electioneering team declared previous team as winners. The electioneering team comprised of S Manjit Singh as Chairman, Rajinder Sharma as Vice Chairman and S Narinder Singh as Presiding Officer.
It is important to understand that elections for the said body is being conducted after every three years but it was for the first time when these election were conducted after a span of only two years in a democratic manner. The team members elected include Inderjit Sharma as President, Raj Singh as Vice President, Bansi Lal Sodhi as General Secretary and S Ranjeet Singh as cashier.
This team has been elected 16th time today, which indicates the dedication and credibility they have earned among their fellow members of association. It is important to mention that the facilities of human and common use established by association are not only utilized by members of association but also by people of entire locality. Even locals around expressed pleasure and satisfaction over the victory of pervious team.
On the occasion, 16th time elected unopposed President, Inderjit Sharma while addressing the members of association assured them of full cooperation and support to them for the upliftment of their life and working standard. He also assured them that issues pertaining to them especially after the train commission to Katra, would be taken with concerned authorities in state as well as in Centre for early address. Raj Singh and Ranjeet Singh also expressed their views while Bansi Lal Sodhi extended vote of thanks to all.
