Student Commits Suicide

MANILA – A student of AMA University committed suicide after having a heated argument with his stepfather, which started when he caught his stepfather using his mobile phone without permission.

The victim was identified as Paolo Solis, 21, a freshman student of AMA University, and residing at 988 Don Isidro St., Malate, Manila. The victim shot himself in the head using a .45 caliber pistol.

 According to Det. Jaime Gonzales of Manila Police District (MPD)-Homicide Section, it was around 11:45 pm when the victim shot himself inside his room.

His mother who worked at Mercury Drug Corp. just arrived in the house when she was surprised with a gunshot. She immediately looked where gunshot came from and was surprised to find his son bathing with his own blood.

A suicide note was found beside the victim’s body where the victim’s asked for forgiveness for what he has done and asked not to have his body autopsied.

It was also found out that it was the victim who bought the pistol himself and it has license.

 The parents also asked not to investigate the case.
