In the modern world, the use of mobile phone has become an indispensable part of our life. When we face a sudden power failure, our immediate reaction is instantaneous and to mitigate its evils. We are also making some arrangements in advance to deal with sudden power failure like installation of a generator, as a stop gap arrangement.But while using a mobile phone we face different problems.A study conducted by UK based research firm YouGov has revealed that a large percentage of mobile users are suffering from a disorder known as ‘Nomophobia’
We have ‘Nomophobia’ for the follwing reasons :
1)We feel distressed and get panicked when we find that we have left our mobile phone at home. The common symptom is unnecessary anxiety when we forget to take our mobile;
2)When the mobiles talk-time or battery runs out;
3)When we are out of the coverage area and not able to contact the person we want;
4)The anxiety is more and reaches a peak when a person loses a mobile phone;
It is also interesting to note that it is men who suffer acutely from Nomophobia, but women are relaxed about such things.
The study is yet to find any remedy to those who are suffering from Nomophobia.
