Tim Tebow said see ya to college football in a way few fans will ever forget. Playing in his final game Tebow added enormous stats to his college resume and helped his team to a Sugar Bowl win in a game that was never in doubt.
Tebow connected on 31 of 35 throws for 482 yards,three TD’s, and rushed for 51 yards on 14 carries,one TD, setting a new BCS record for total yards.
Tebow’s TD throws were for 80 yards and two for 7 yards each, his running TD for four yards.
The Gator receivers were enjoying the day also as the two top receivers totaled almost 300 yards between them, Aaron Hernandez had nine catches for 111 yards and Riley Cooper seven catches for 181 yards.
The tale of two coaches were Jeff Quinn serving as inter im coach for recently departed Brian Kelly now with Notre Dame and Urban Meyer who announced earlier this week that he was taking an indefinite leave of absence. New head coach Butch Jones watched as a spectator as his Bearcats to be could not stop Tebow and the Gators. No matter the drama on the sidelines Florida defeated Cincinnati soundly on the playing field.
