Islamabad: At least six people, including two police, have been killed and 20 others wounded in a suicide attack at Katchehri Chowk of Rawalpindi near Islamabad, capital of Pakistan.
A spokesman of the Ministry of Interior has confirmed the incident and told reporters that the suicide bomber was a pedestrian.
Sources said that the suicide attack was occurred at the area where many military centers were located. They also said that the casualty number may rise.
This suicide is the freshest of the ongoing violence in the country where militants are active nearly in all cities and controlling the tribal areas.
Just one day ago, a truce was announced after three days fighting between security forces and the militants in Swat, N.W.F.P. Another suicide attack had killed around 30 people one day prior of the fighting in Mingora.
