PESHAWAR: Suicide attack carried out at the door of police officer’s house in Bannu, the southern part of northwest frontier province of Pakistan.
According to the eyewitness, a pedestrian suicide bomber came to the house of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) cantonment Bannu Tahir Dawar situated at the civil colony on Meeran Shah road and knocked at the door. “Suicide bomber press the button of bomb and blew itself with a deafening explosion, when police officials came out of the house after knocking”, the police source said.
Due to sever roaring blast, parts of the body of the suicide bomber scattered in the air and body guard Abdul Raheem of the DSP killed in the incident, the police source revealed. Two police officials Ghaffar Ali and constable Damras were injured in the incident, which rush to District Headquarter Hospital Bannu.
According to the police source the DSP who was the target remain safe in the suicide attack. After the blast police force cordoned the area and no one allowed to the spot. Bomb disposal squad, investigative team of police and officials other law enforcement agencies reached the spot. The investigative team collected the parts of the bomber and other evidences and started investigation.
