Suns, Mavericks Perennial Playoff losers

The Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks have suffered another beating in the early going of the NBA playoffs series. The two big guns in the NBA Basketball looked pathetic in their duel with their respective first round opponents. Both teams were eliminated in an unforgettable 1-4 win-lose records.

Despite of the much hyped multi player trades in the regular season, the two Western teams failed to muster their winning chances. The Phoenix Suns unnecessarily released Shawn Marion and two other players in exchanged of Diesel O’Neal, which in the end cost their chances to dispatched San Antonio Spurs in the first round.

The same thing happened to Dallas Mavericks. The team committed mistakes by agreeing to enlist Jason Kidd to their lineup. Of course Jason Kidd is one of the best point guards the NBA have produced. But his immediate transfer to the Mavericks is insignificant the fact that Dallas is already loaded with good and reliable players.

What happened therefore was that Phoenix Suns succumbed to the firepower of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and defense specialist par excellence Bruce Bowen. Steve Nash and his All-Star laden team were unable to melt the Spurs.

In the same way that Nowitski, Kidd, Terry and the rest of team couldn’t stop the buzzing and stinging Hornets led by Chris Paul, the best point guard of the present NBA season. The Mavericks was unsuccessful in their match up with the Hornets because they couldn’t find their rhythm by ending the unrelenting onslaught of the Hornets. But life must go on for Dallas and Phoenix. They must refocus their training to prepare for the next season so that their top gun billings will be realized with great pride on their selves.
