Nigeria National team, The Super Eagles, is the hope of Africa.Days after the Ghana 2008 Nations cup draws were held, world soccer ruling body, FIFA, on wednesday, released the latest rankings sponsored by Coca-cola and ranked Nigeria the 19th best soccer playing nation in the world.
It was the first time in several months that the top 20 and also weeks after it held highly rated Mexican national team to a pulsating 2-2 draw in their back yard. There has been yet another change-the sixth this year- at the top of the latest FIFA/Coca-cola World Ranking. The other changes in the top 10 and the places just outside it are a reflection of the results of EURO 2008 qualifiers. France(4th,up 2) and Spain(6th,up1) have moved up the ladder, while Germany(5th, the ladder, while Germany (5th down 1) and the Netherlands (7th, down 2) have paid for defeat by dropping down a nouch.
