Anantnag,November 17, (Scoop News)- To ensure the participation of every section of society and create awareness among them, an awareness programme at Primary Health Centre Achabal in collaboration with Nodal Officer SVEEP Anantnag and SDM Kokernag.
Students, ANMs, ASHA and AWWs besides public in good numbers participated in awareness programme. The programme was organized under the supervision of District Election Officer Anantnag. During the programme awareness regarding voter turnout, gender gap and maximum voter participation was given to the participants.
Addressing the awareness camp, District Election Officer Anantnag apprised the participants that Indian constitution guarantees every eighteen years old person right to vote and asked them to cast their valuable vote in their respective polling stations.
District Election Officer appealed the participants to disseminate this message to all the people around them. Earlier Nodal Officer SVEEP apprised the participants about the importance of participation in electoral process and appealed them to cast their vote in coming Assembly Elections. Voters expressed their great enthusiasm and assured to cast their vote in coming elections.
District Election Officer Anantnag also visited training centre located at Town Hall Achabal where employees are undergoing EVM training. He interacted with the employees undergoing training and explained the raised quires.
Nodal Officers of various election components, besides ADC Anantnag, Chief Education Officer Anantnag, SDM Kokernag and other concerned officers were also present during the awareness programme.
