The third episode of the second season of “Heroes” is dubbed as “Kindred.” In this episode, it looks as if more of this season’s plot is to be revealed.
As I anticipated the return of America’s favorite villain Gabriel Gray a.k.a. Sylar to make his return to Heroes, it looked as if we were treated to some interesting revelations. The beginning of the episode looked to focus on Maya and Alejandro Hererra whom are still traversing through Central America in hopes of making it through the border to head to New York City to find Chandra Suresh. It looks as if the twin siblings are getting closer to their first destination.
It’s revealed that both siblings are wanted throughout Central America. This is an extremely stressful environment for the both of them. This especially goes for Maya as her powers manifest under extreme distress. She uses her powers to inflict disease on the police officers that arrested Alejandro as an attempt to free him from prison.
Luckily, Alejandro uses his powers to cure a fellow prisoner that becomes victim to Maya’s powers. It’s revealed that he ends up acting as a third companion. But it’s unknown what the third companion is going to do. He seems to be a wild card in the matter regarding Maya and Alejandro’s journey to New York City.
Sadly, it looks to be revealed that D.L. Hawkins who is the husband of Niki and Micah Sanders is deceased. It looks as if D.L. died in the hospital as a result of the gunshot from Mr. Linderman nearing the end of the first season. Who knows if D.L. is really dead. It seems to be likely as actor Leonard Roberts who portrays D.L. didn’t sign on for the second season of Heroes. From there, Niki and Micah end up parting ways for now.
The two of them head out to New Orleans, Louisiana post-Hurricane Katrina where Micah lives with relatives of D.L. Nobody knows how long both Niki and Micah will keep separated from each other.
And then at the same time, it looks as if Peter Petrelli is coerced into working with a group of professional thieves in order to get the contents inside this wooden box. The leader of the group named Ricky is an Irish mobster is getting Peter to do this bank job. It looks to be an interesting adventure while Peter tries to reclaim his identity and remember what powers he has. It looks as if Peter has temporarily forgotten Claude’s training.
Perhaps, Peter might have crossed paths with the Haitian who has the powers of memory removal. It looks to be a very feasible possibility because a lot can happen within four months. It is revealed that Peter was telling Ricky the truth about one of his men betraying him at the job. Peter manages to exhibit his powers of spontaneous regeneration and telekinesis.
Without Simone, it seems as if Peter might find some romance in Ricky’s younger sister. Who knows if Ricky’s sister might display some sort of power. I’m not sure, her arm might have faintly glowed
We are brought to where Sylar is located. He awakened on a beach in Maui, Hawaii which looks to be nothing but a mere illusion. It’s said that the company had seemed to recover Sylar’s body right after he was impaled by Hiro’s katana. This new person is possibly Candace Wilmer under a new disguise as her power has a lot to do with creating illusions.
It’s revealed that Sylar had his powers removed as a result. Like Peter, it looks as if Sylar is learning how to reclaim the powers he acquired. It looks as if this person really is Candace as if she managed to trick him. However, it seems as if Sylar managed to kill Candace as he finally reveals her true identity. After removing the important portion of Candace’s brain after mocking her, Sylar attempts to use her powers of illusion. For some reason, it doesn’t work and Sylar is in pain. It’s revealed that he’s stranded somewhere in a lust forest or jungle.
Sylar could be somewhere in North America, South America, Europe, or perhaps even Africa. But, I am happy to see that Sylar had finally returned to Heroes. I happen to be very excited about Sylar’s return. It will keep many people guessing. Plus it’s also refreshing to see that there are two major villains in this season of Heroes that aren’t working together.
Mohinder also makes his return back to New York City. Isaac’s loft has been reformatted into a lab for Mohinder to use while he’s under some sort of supervision. It also looks as if Jessica is still existent as revealed during a phone conversation with Bob. Who knows what role Niki/Jessica is going to play in this season of Heroes.
Ando miraculously receives a message in that katana from Hiro explaining his situation. It is revealed from the previous episode that Takezo Kensei has the power of spontaneous regeneration which manifested as Hiro pulled the arrows from his chest. While Hiro believes this is a godsend, Kensei believes it to be a curse and retreats. Kensei tries to come into terms with his powers. At the same time, Hiro shows off his powers from Kensei. Since this is the seventeenth century, Hiro has to explain evolution and so forth to Kensei.
Hiro teleports Kensei to this Japanese stronghold, where Kensei has to fight off against ninety enemies sworn to protect an artifact. This event that has transpired looks to be the beginning of the legend surrounded Takezo Kensei. There’s an interesting transition where Ando in present time is reading what’s going on from a small scroll while Hiro and Kensei embark on all of these adventures. It seems that Hiro is not done yet in the seventeenth century as he remains to stay in that time frame for a bit longer.
However, it looks as if Hiro is romantically interested in the swordsmith’s daughter. Will romance bloom between the two of them?
Finally, West confronts Claire that she’s different. Instead of trying to console Claire, West simply tells her to “shut up.” It’s an interesting response on West’s part as he doesn’t hesitate to show Claire his powers of flight. Still, it looks as if the powers seem to look redundant. Claire, Peter, and Kensei have regenerative powers. Nathan Petrelli, Peter Petrelli, and West have powers of flight.
It seems as if West and Noah Bennet have a past with each other. West is revealed to have that same scar on his neck. He refers to the person as the man with the horn-rimmed glasses.
It is revealed that Bob who has the powers of turning objects into gold looks to be one of the main sources of income for the company. The company looks to have its power and influences from people with all sorts of abilities. It was revealed that Linderman used Micah and his powers to rig the elections in Nathan’s favor. Plus, Linderman looked to have all sorts of people with precognitive powers on his payroll with Isaac Mendez being one of them.
Then an interesting revelation arises, it looks as if Noah Bennet is also marked for assassination. The preview for the next episode reveals the hunt for the person responsible for Kaito Nakamura’s death and the attempted murders of both Noah Bennet and Angela Petrelli. Perhaps that person is the same that has been plaguing the dreams of Molly Walker. It looks as the hunt for the man who’s supposed to be far worse than Sylar is on.
It seems as if this person might have a power of his own. It should be interesting if that man and Sylar ever cross paths with each other.
The thing I’m most curious about is the role Sylar is going to play in this season of Heroes. He cannot activate his eidetic memory, cryokinesis, telekinesis, and other powers that were stolen from others. It’s unknown of Sylar retained his original power of intuitive aptitude.
We won’t know anything else until the fourth episode.

What is the fate of Hana Gittelman who’s physically dead but still exists in cyberspace?
Where is Claude?
Who’s in charge of the company since Linderman is dead?
