Syrian Air Force jets conducted multiple air strikes against ISIS military targets in western Iraq, a U.S. official confirmed.
Initial reports from Iraqi news outlets suggested, that in part because of the military precision and speed of the strikes that the U.S. must have conducted those air strikes that hit ISIS fighters, prompting red faced Pentagon officials to deny that it had launched any air strikes whatsoever.
“Press reports that U.S. drones struck ISIL [ISIS] targets in Iraq today are false. No such action has been taken,” said Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Admiral John Kirby.
Reports on the ground suggest the Syrian air strikes were absolutely devastating to ISIS and hit with such effect as hundreds of terrorists were killed in the process of only a few minutes. “They never knew what hit them”, suggested one contact in Syria via Facebook.
Also reports of numerous heavy vehicles, artillery pieces and captured US Humvee’s with mounted machines guns were also destroyed in the strikes.
The Obama administration considered airstrikes inside Iraq to stop the momentum of ISIS advances in northern Iraq, but so far has opted not to do so because it would appear that it was taking sides in the conflict.
There is also serious and disturbing questions revolving around the fact that certain Republican leaders in Congress have demanded to know if the Obama Administration may have secretly armed ISIS groups as part of its illegal campaign to topple the Syrian regime in violation of international law? If true that could be politically embarrassing to the President because it suggest ISIS is of US making.

It is known that ISIS fighters operate on both sides of the Syrian and Iraqi border and have been attacking sites across Syria.
A contact in Syria claims the Syrian military is refusing comment in this or any military actions outside its borders.
