FARS news agency is reporting that the Syrian Army has discovered and seized a huge cache of US-made weapons in Damascus after heavy clashes with armed groups, which left over 100 terrorists sprawled dead in the street. Their stinking corpses rotting in the sun.
According to the report the weapons seized in the “Salqain district in Idlib” last week included 7.26 guns along with other weapons as well as boxes of gunshots with the words “NATO BALL” carved on them.

NATO stands for the “North Atlantic Treaty Organization” is an intergovernmental military alliance based on the North Atlantic Treaty, which was signed on 4 April 1949.
NATO constitutes a system of collective defense whereby its member states, 28 in all, agree to mutual defense in response to an attack by any external party (see video: NATO – North Atlantic Treaty Organization http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k2b61OHtWQ&feature=related ).
NATO’s headquarters are in Brussels, Belgium.
The ammunition is further evidence that the United States via NATO is a principle supplier of arms and ammunition to the rebels in Syria.
Recently US armed Syrian insurgents were filmed with numerous advanced American M-16 family rifles. The terrorists using them are members of a sniper unit of the Islamist ‘Hamza Battalion’ operating in the Rastan region (see video: Syria: Rebels using American Weapons http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpW7X5PIssg ).
The is one of several videos depicting rebel groups in the possession of brand new US weapons. So well equipped are they that every member of the unit seems to be armed with an American rifle.
We did as story in April 2012 that traced some of the M-16’s to Iraq (see article: Syrian rebels acquiring weapons originally provided to Iraqi Army by U.S. http://www.examiner.com/article/syrian-rebels-acquiring-old-weapons-stock-from-iraqi-army-provided-by-u-s ).
The U.S. Department of Defense refused comment on this story.
