Tahader Kotha : The tale of a Fisherman

The matter environmental pollution is a hugely discussed topic now a day throughout the world. The Sociologists, Environmentalists, Economists, Politicians all around the world are crazy about these matter and making thousands of seminars, symposiums, workshops, meetings everyday. I barely think a single person of them is really aware or concerned about how the people suffer in the grass-root level by those polluting activities. One of the most dangerous forms of environmental pollution is water pollution. In the third world countries, specially in Bangladesh, there are some places where people are fully dependent on the natural water sources, for their food, daily work, and moreover livelihood.

One of such profession is fishing. In many places the natural water bodies are being polluted by dumping chemical wastages and poisonous chemical materials into the natural water sources. It is harming the environment as long as affecting the people’s lifestyle and economic process. Many of the fisherman are now thinking of change their profession, as no way have been left for them to earn by depending on the nearby rivers, as they are being polluted by the local industries and getting unsuitable for collecting fish.
