From a young age Gisele Goés loved technology, spending hours on the computer until her parents would scold her. Her interest sprouted from the enjoyment of conversing with new people, exploring new content and sharing it with the world. Her talent came naturally.
Gisele’s first blog “Keep Calm And Blog On” incorporated her passion for tech, communication and photography. The blog was hugely successful and grabbed the attention of the creators of the tech website TechTudo who sought her out to be one of the sites lead writers and producers. “TechTudo is the biggest tech website in Brazil, separated by sections of relevance. It covers all news about technology and digital culture, making this kind of content accessible to a general audience,” says Gisele. The site has over 10 million visitors daily. Gisele studies consumer data and creates articles that reflect the numbers. It’s her job to figure out what content is worth sharing, as well as how to present it in the most engaging way possible.
Using her vast knowledge of the tech industry along with her years of experience as a blogger, Gisele helped develop Blogo. Gisele explains, “Blogo is a desktop blogging app for Macs. It simplifies the blogging workflow by getting rid of everything that is not necessary. All the features were carefully thought out, selected and designed to make blogging easier and faster. It’s the easiest way to manage multiple blogs and publish content.” Gisele was responsible for all of the written portions of the app that users encounter including user’s stories, tips and tricks to achieve a better writing performance and the app’s notifications and messages. She has also contributed extensively to the Blogo blog. Dubbed a “badass blog editor” by Mashable, Blogo has received impressive recognition and won the Silver Award for Best New Startup at the 2014 Evernote Platform Awards. The inventor of Blogo, Ivan Neto, personally selected Gisele to collaborate on the development of the app. Gisele recalls, “Ivan and I were friends already and he knew I was coming back from Silicon Valley and thought I was the perfect fit to give Blogo a ‘human touch’ and take charge of their communication.” Prior to jumping on board with Blogo, Gisele spent several months learning the ins and outs of what goes into creating a successful startup company from the tech industry’s top professionals in Silicon Valley. She explains, “I was one of the 18 young talents selected for a summer program in Silicon Valley in 2013 called Startup Dream Team and it included workshops on all of the steps a startup or entrepreneur needs to follow to start a new business, app, service, or product.”
