Taslima Nasreen, is the Bangladesh writer who was in exile in India. In the wake of the protests from the Islamic groups, She blamed Indian higher-ups for not extending her visa and criticizing her unknown residence in Delhi, where she stayed as a refuge, ‘Although I was put in a safe house in Delhi, it was like chamber of death.I faced a physical and mental torture’ and also terming it, as a virtual house arrest and above all fearing that her health might get worsened and she might even get mentally deranged, she was left with no option but to leave India during the month of March, 2008 to an unknown foreign destination in Europe.
At present she is staying in Sweden as a refuge. It is learnt that Taslima Nasreen, the Bangladeshi author has told writer and close friend Kriphasankar Chaubey that she would return to India by July or August.This was stated by Taslima’s friend in his book Najaraband Taslima (Taslima in House Arrest)
Taslima Nasreen has said,‘I will come to India in July or August.Leaving India permanently means death to me.After coming, I will see whether I would be allowed to enter Kolkata or not.’
