Taxi Operators extend support to Azad, Madan Communal politics has no place in a state: MP

JAMMU, Mar 27: Extending their full support to both the Lok Sabha contesting candidates of Congress Party from Udhampur Doda and Jammu-Poonch, All Jammu and Kashmir Taxi Operator Union today organized a function to expend their full support to Congress Party candidates MP Madan Lal Sharma and Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Union Chairman Inderjeet Khajuria while speaking on the occasion described these elections as a decisive battle between communal and secular forces, saying the latter will ultimately triumph with massive mass support. He further urged the people to vote for Madan Lal Sharma and Ghulam Nabi Azad, saying this will be endorsement of the policies and programmes of Congress that has steered the state to peace, progress and tranquility.
Referring to Amarnath row, Inderjeet asked BJP and PDP not to venture for vitiating the atmosphere by hoodwinking public opinion, saying this will lead them nowhere and their unholy nexus will not succeed in breaking the will of the people who have decided to give a befitting reply to those playing with their sentiments. He referred to the dubious machinations being employed by BJP and PDP to remain relevant in the elections.
Appreciation Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi for releasing the Congress party manifesto, Madan Lal Sharma said that the party manifesto has promised to push economic growth rate to 8 per cent in the next three years, create 10 crore jobs and take firm steps to contain inflation. He further said, “Communal politics has no place in a state that has been abode of the people belonging to different faiths, who have been living in harmony.” He added that irrational and divisive forces have always got a befitting reply in all the three regions.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Horticulture Raman Bhalla urged the people, especially youth, to work for the massive victory of the coalition candidates Madan Lal Sharma and Ghulam Nabi Azad which, he described, will be strengthening the hands of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and J&K PPC President Saif-u-din Soz. He also cautioned the people against the provocative propaganda of vested interests, saying in abject dejection they may try to vitiate the atmosphere.
He further assailed BJP and PDP for anti-people activities and said they have no agenda except maligning Congress and its leadership by indulging in deceit and falsehood.
During the function, a large number of youth joined Congress party fold in presence, Raman Bhalla, Madan Lal Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, Union President Inderjeet Khajuria and others leaders.
