Rajouri/Jammu, November 08(Scoop News)- Tehreek Baqa-e-Urdu (TBU) hold one day National Seminar on “Urdu – Symbol of Secularism” at Dak Banglow Rajouri in which eminent internationally renowned scholars and poets including Asif Bralvi and Alam Banarsi participated.
In the programme, Shaan-i-Urdu award was granted to Asif Bralvi and Alam Banarsi besides Sipah-i-Urdu Award was given to Member Legislative Assembly Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali for raising strong voice in the Legislative Assembly for safeguarding Urdu language.
Earlier TBU Pir panjal regional head Khursheed Tantry welcomed the guests after that a poetic meet was held in which poets viz Prof Waqar, Krishen Lal Aasi, Dr Alamdar Adam, Alam Banarsi, Asif Bralvi, Rubina Mir, Saleem Qureshi, Umar Farhat & Parvaiz Malik. Comparing of poetic session was held by TBU Student wing President Aftab Manhas.
During the programme, General Secretary and Spokesman TBU Zakir Malik Bhallesi presented a detailed report on the activities of the organization and also put light on the secular character of Urdu language.
In the Seminar, which was presided by Nisar Rahi speakers viz Alam Banarsi from Banaras, Asif Bralvi from Brailey, Jawaid Anwar from Lucknow, Nazir Qureshi from Poonch, MN Qureshi from Poonch, Nissar Rahi, Musrat Jabeen, Prof Waqar from Rajouri presented their papers on the topic “Urdu – Symbol of Secularism”.
All the speakers highlighted the importance of Urdu and termed it most secular language of India. They said that Urdu is not the language of Muslims but there are a long of Hindu and Sikh writers and poets who nourished this language.
Meanwhile Award Shaan-i-Urdu, a certificate, Momento and Shawl were presented by TBU to Alam Baransi and Asif Bralvi for their outstanding contribution in the filed of Urdu. Both the poets are internationally acclaimed personalities and Asif Bralvi and Urdu and Peace Ambassador of 6 countries of the world. Award Sipah-i-Urdu a certificate, Momento and Shawl was also presented to MLA Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali for his contribution towards Urdu language in the Assembly. MLA had tabled Urdu Bill in the last assembly session.
Speaking on the occasion Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali, Alam Banarsi and Asif Bralvi expressed joy over the working of Tehreek Baqa e Urdu.
Chief Patron Farooq Shah Bukhari presented vote of thanks on the occasion. Other who were present included Liaqet Ali Choudhary, Advocate Ahsan Mirza, Rafiq Mir, Munsi Alam Din, Mohammad Sayeed Jatt, Dr Shamas Kamal Anjum, Dr Liaqet Nair and Maneer Khan.
