Billawar/Jammu, March 15 (Scoop News) –Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today asked the people to teach a lesson to the National Conference led government in the coming Panchayat elections.
Addressing a meeting of party workers at Billawar, PDP general secretary Thakur Balbir Singh exhorted party cadre to select sincere and dedicated candidates for the Panchayat elections. He said that people should be educated about the wrong policies being adopted by the present government.
He said that government headed National Conference has failed to solve day today problems of the people because this regime has been pursuing anti-poor policies.
Singh pointed out that during the more than two years Omar Abdullah government has done nothing to solve problems of the people. He said that instead of mitigating woes of the people this government has further compounded miseries of the common masses by its misdeeds.
Thakur Balbir Singh reminded the gathering that during the last assembly elections the National Conference had made lot of promises with the people but after attaining the power not even a single promise has been fulfilled. He especially mentioned towards promise of the National Conference to provide government jobs to alteast one member of each family. All these promises remained only on papers, he regretted and added that betraying people for power is history of the National Conference.
He said that coming Panchayat elections was an opportunity to teach a lesson to this government which has plunged the State into anarchy and nepotism.
Sudesh Sapolia, Mangu Ram, K K Sharma, Angrez Singh, Uttam Singh, Bantu Mistry, Makhan Lal Dogra, Indu Shekhar, Bodh Raj, Raj Singh and others addressed the meeting.
