Teacher passes 12 class exam with flying colours

Jammu, May 13 (Scoop News)- On Tuesday when hundreds of students who cleared their class 12 examination of the J&K Board of School Education were celebrating their performance and distributing sweets Bahadur Singh Jatwar and Sita Devi,parents of Hema Jatwar, were feeling on cloud nine.

Their daughter,serving as teacher in a school run by Damodhar Udyog Satri Sanstha under Project Pahl passed class 12 examination with flying colours.

Daughter of a mason, hailing from Chattisgarh, Hema toiled hard to realise dream of her parents and in a thanksgiving message to her parents she hugged them,one after the other, with a pledge to complete her graduation studies.

Native of village Mudpar in Chattisgarh Hema Jatwar started teaching slum children, majority of them hailing from Chattisgarh, while she was preparing for her class 12 examination.
She was inspired by her her elder sister Aarti.She too was teaching in the same school before getting married.

Hema credited her performance towards focused attention on the street children.She said regular teaching helped her sharpen her own skills and motivated her to pass her exam with flying colours.

On Tuesday when the results were declared Hema, enrolled in Govt Higher secondary school,Canal road, was thrilled to know she passed the examination in first division.

In recognition of her achievement ,Chairman of the Damodhar Satri Udyog Sanstha Onkar Nath Chandra Tuesday announced the organisation would fund her higher education and also rewarded her with a token gift on the occasion.
