Ten Tribesmen Killed in Armed Clashes of Rival Tribes

‘Ten persons are killed and thirty others are injured in armed clashes between Tori and Bangash tribes of Kurram Agency on Sunday, 50 houses and one FM radio station is also damaged during armed clashes between both tribes,’ it was unveiled by state owned media.

 

‘On Saturday late in the evening heavy exchange of fire between unknown rival groups was witnessed around Paracha Town residential area of Kohat, since last 48 hours long hours of electricity stoppage amid simmering heat are witnessed in the area,’ residents of Paracha Town have said.

 

Three rockets fired at Kohat around 12:00 pm during Saturday night were unable to cause any substantial damage to life or property. According to press release issued by PRO Kohat police from Sheikhan hills unknown miscreants had fired three rocket shells on Kohat at midnight, one rocket had hit the kitchen in residence of Waqar Hussain in Meer Ahmed Khel area of Kohat, roof of his kitchen was damaged. Another two rocket shells had hit gardens in Phalawan Banda area of Shahpur Kohat, no loss to life or property was done. Cases against unknown miscreants are registered in Jungle Khel police station Kohat; police had expedited its raids to arrest the miscreants.

 

 

Kohat police in its ongoing search operation has arrested 84 accused criminals including six proclaimed offenders; large cache of weapons and narcotics is recovered from their custody on Saturday. According to press release issued by PRO Kohat police, in a joint search operation of police commandos, Quick Response Force, Riders, and FC in Jungle Khel, Oblun, Summari, Chambai, Nasrat Khel and Muhammad Zai areas of Kohat district of NWFP 84 accused criminals including six proclaimed offenders are arrested, collectively 6 Klashinkoves, 4 Kalakoves, 7 rifles, 20 pistols, 10 guns, 640 cartridges, 7.540 gram Cannabis, 10 gram heroine and 8 bottles of alcohol are recovered from arrested criminals, cases against them are registered and accused criminals are handed over to special investigation team, for further investigations.
