THAI’s New-Look Royal Silk Lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport Again Welcoming Passengers

1888 PressRelease – Thai Airways International’s Royal Silk Lounge in Concourse E at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport has reopened following a refurbishment.

The new-look Royal Silk Lounge in Concourse E – East now welcomes THAI passengers with a design that embodies an ecology green atmosphere with a brighter colour shade, while retaining a gracious and warm ambience.

The Royal Silk Lounge offers 171 comfortable seats and facilities that include two private rooms, a hi-speed internet bar, savory self-service buffet and beverage corner, slumber area, shower rooms and toilets with wheelchair accessibility.

Open daily from 5 am to 2 am, the Royal Silk Lounge at Concourse E – East is available to THAI Royal Silk Class passengers departing on a THAI international flight, Business Class passengers departing on any Star Alliance flight, and Royal Orchid Plus Gold and Star Alliance Gold card holders departing on any Star Alliance flight (along with one guest departing on any Star Alliance flight).

Meanwhile, THAI’s Royal Orchid Lounge at Concourse E is set to reopen at the end of April also following a renovation. Royal First passengers are in the meantime invited to use the THAI Royal First Lounge at Concourse D open from 5 am to 1 am, while Royal Silk passengers can make use of the newly-reopened Royal Silk Lounge at Concourse E or the airline’s other Royal Silk Lounges at Suvarnabhumi Airport situated in Concourses C and D which are also open between 5 am and 2 am.

There is also a THAI Royal Silk Lounge at Concourse A (Domestic) open from 5 am to 11.30 pm to Royal Silk Class passengers departing on a THAI domestic flight, and Royal Orchid Plus Gold and Star Alliance Gold card holders departing on a THAI domestic flight (along with one guest departing on a THAI domestic flight).

In another aspect of THAI’s ongoing efforts to increase the service level its passengers enjoy, the airline now allows an additional 10 kg of checked baggage on all classes of travel on all THAI flights (except those to and from the United States of America).
