At four different locations across the United States, the Mother Earth News Fair is full of eco-friendly activities for all ages. The fun, family-oriented events include hands-on demonstrations and workshops from the various organizations, focused on sustainable living. A featured speaker at all four of the events is the Aquaponic Source’s president, Sylvia Bernstein.
“I’m speaking about Aquaponics and how Aquaponic Systems can have a positive impact on sustaining our eco-systems and educating our youth about the importance of healthy living,” explains Sylvia Bernstein, president of The Aquaponics Source, and author of the book “Aquaponics Gardening: A Step-By-Step Guide to Raising Vegetables and Fish Together” (New Society Publishers, October 2011). “The Fair is a wonderful event to learn about all the different products out there and how to utilize them to create a healthy environment.”
The Mother Earth News Fair stops in four locations across the country, including:
Payallup, Wash. – May 31 – June 1, 2014
Seven Springs, Pa. – September 12 – 14, 2014
Topeka, Kan. – October 25 – 26, 2014
The Fair features several organizations, companies and speakers from the leading authorities on:
- · Renewable Energy
- · Small-Scale Agriculture
- · Gardening
- · Green Building
- · Green Transportation
- · Natural Health
“Children 17 years old and younger get in for free and there are programs dedicated helping children learn about the environment and how we can help,” added Bernstein. “Anyone interested in keeping our planet sustainable, living healthy and green, or even simply gardening should plan to stop at the Mother Earth News Fair.”
