Atlanta Georgia. There are reports that the management of the Atlanta Braves are considering making some changes in the front office at the conclusion of the 2014 Major League Baseball season.
The Braves are currently in second place in the National League Eastern Division. The Braves are in danger of not making the playoffs this baseball season. It is possible that the Braves will hire former Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians general manager John Hart to be in charge of putting together a team that will be in contention to make the playoffs next season.
Hart is currently employed as senior advisor of the Braves last year. It is possible that Hart or team president John Schuerholz will take over the Braves operations department.
Hart of Schuerolz will make the decision to retain or terminate the contract of their current general manager Frank Wren and current Braves field manager Fredi Gonzalez at the end of the current baseball season.
The general manager or the field manager is the one person that takes the fall for the failure to lead the team they are in charge of to make the playoffs.
Gonzalez has been the manager of the Braves since 2011. Gonzalez has led the Braves to wild card game in 2012 and a playoff appearance in 2013. Gonzalez succeeded Bobby Cox who managed the Braves who retired after the 2010 baseball season. Cox led the Braves to their only World Series title in Atlanta in 1995.
It remains to be seen if the Braves will be making any changes to their front office at the end of the 2014 baseball season or not.
