In American English, we refer to a number of things as bombs. Some are violent such as military ordinance, smoke and tear gas bombs. Some are pesticides. In slang, bombs meant a failure as in "The hotshot director’s latest movie was a bomb." In very recent slang, a successful thing or cool person may be called "the or (da) bomb." But usually, bombs hurt people.
In the 2008 presidential race, we have seen bomb take on a new meaning in the Ron Paul money bombs to raise staggering amounts of money in single day for the Dr. Ron Paul’s presidential race. On November 5th, over 4 million dollars were contributed. On December 16th, the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, over six million dollars were donated. I gave $100 on December 16th to www.RonPaul2008.com.
How does this heal? These efforts were not centrally directed by the Ron Paul campaign but on the initiative of Ron Paul supporters. Their decentralized, voluntary initiative demonstrated by actions what the Ron Paul candidacy is all about.
Although Ron Paul has qualified many times over for the so-called "public" financing of his campaign, he will not take a penny of the funds taken from the taxpayer. It is no accident that some people say public when they mean taxpayer-financed. Once again, the respect for the individual liberty and property of the American people is demonstrated by the Ron Paul campaign as his opponents start to line up to feed at the trough like other pigs fed by the American welfare-warfare state. These are the libertarian principles that I have long advocated and admired in Ron Paul over the years.
Congressman Paul earned the sobriquet "Dr. No." Let a doctor heal America of the parasites that have infected it. If you can, donate to Ron Paul. The Ron Paul money bombs heal instead of hurt living things. -30-
