The Earth Is Surely A Life In Itself

Poetry From The Heart

Fragrances of autumn wander in the air
trees shed their leaves to fly here and there.
Shades amaze touching the sunshine
signifies beauty, special and divine.
Bushes undress in front of the world
winds snatch their skirts in a big whirl.

Trees naked…limbs reach for the wind
lush turned to display a beige tinge.
Black birds squawk in bare trees
wonder what happened to the leaves.
Earth guises its looks to drab and cheerless
opens its umbrella to a hidden wilderness.

Nests once hid from eyes now are seen
expose dead leaves and other things.
Seasons similar to life indeed…
change transforms living waits its need.
Periods of time move clock hands
awakens roots to produce…strive again.

The earth is surely a life in itself …
requires seasons to rebuild for a revival.
Rains bring rivers flowing to the sea
cleanses valleys and streams to be free.
Earth is like life it needs seasons to mend
washing away the grit and grime within.

The earth is surely a life in itself…
