The Exercise Shatrujeet – four-day joint Indo-US war games start in Goa

The  Indo-US Military exercise  has started in Goa.

On September 30 the US Marine Corps reached Goa on board USS harpers Ferry for the purpose.It is a part of efforts of the two countries to build strong ties between their armed forces. This exercise will give an opportunity for both troops to interact and work together for cooperation.

The  troops of the two countries are doing amphibious war maneuvers in Goa . The Exercise Shatrujeet  is a four-day joint India-US war tactics and  are being held at Goa to increase cooperation between the armed forces of Indian and American troops.

According to the Army sources the  Indo-US Military exercise is a  part of Indo-US defense cooperation under the DefensePolicy Group. The objective of the exercise is to undertake joint training in amphibious operations with a view to build and promote healthy military relations between the two countries.

In addition to the war games,India and the US hold several joint military training exercises including the Malabar, Yudh Abhyas and the multilateral Red Flag exercise .
India has accepted an invitation to participate in the 2014 Rim of the a multilateral  Pacific Exercise (RIMPAC) in Hawaii, that is expected to involve nearly two dozen countries throughout the world.
