Jesus worked as a carpenter until he was thirty years of age and during his three years of ministry he worked hard. Even on holidays he helped the poor and healed the sick. For that reason some people came and asked him, “Don’t you rest even on the rest day?” “No, God always works, if God rested, the world would fall; therefore, while God works, I work also”.
Jesus was merciful and sympathetic; he served beggars, healed people with leprosy raised the dead, opened the eyes of people who were blind, healed those with epilepsy or convulsions, and relieved those possessed with evil spirits, like those people whom we call “possessed by a badger or a fox”. He also listened to the complaints of cross-examiners and the appeal of the adulterers. He gave to ex-convicts and poor people and worked for their salvation. He always sympathized with the oppressed classes. So in this way he revived all kinds of people psychologically, socially, and religiously. In Christ’s activity itself may be seen the image of God. God reveals love. Here may be seen the unspeakable happiness of life.
