They’re everywhere, unstoppable and entertain the world of their unique and high octane performances in music, film, sports and other things identified with the colored people or the African-Americans. We’ve seen the likes of Michel Jordan as hero in the hard court at the peak of his stardom.
Others like Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and to name a few who are also heroes in their own right displayed great and unequal hard court attitude. They entertained the world in such a manner that they helped changed the racial divide and the wrong impression about the colored people of America.
Talk show host Oprah Winfrey, the iconic figure who mesmerized her millions of viewers. She revolutionized the concept of TV talk shows which was later became the trend for all TV programs around the world. Oprah possesses the good heart of a woman who believes in equality and fairness.
And the “Black Campaign” continues. In the ongoing NBA All-Star Games, another star is streaking hot. All-Star player Dwight Howard made history when he won the Slum dunk contest as the first big man, standing at 6’11”, to bag the coveted trophy as Slum dunk king. Howard wowed the spectators with his high flying dunks that got the nods.
For these people, going to the “Heroes Place” is quite easy, but others will have to wait in the distance. Senator Barack Obama has yet to show his potential and credential. But all along, “Black Campaigners” who contributed goodwill and good quality entertainment to the rest of the world are sure to enter the “Heroes Place.”
