It was a fairy tale finish to the first ever Indian Premier League DLF Twenty Twenty series Final match played between the teams the Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings, at the Mumbai Patil stadium, the match being won by the Rajasthan Royals Team in the last ball by taking a single by its player Tanvir.Having won the toss, Rajasthan Royals elected to field first.The Chennai Super Kings batting first managed to score 163/5 in the twenty overs.In reply the Rajasthan team scored 164 for 7 wickets, thereby winning the match by three wickets and also the winners purse of $1,25,000.The man of the match was Yusuf Pathan for his haul of three wickets and an invaluable 56 runs, while chasing.However there were some fielding lapses on the part of Chennai Super Kings that cost them the match, in dropping Yusuf Pathan when his score was at 18 and 33 and it was  Suresh Raina’s direct hit of the stumps that finally cost the wicket of Yusuf Pathan.The Final match was thrilling and had a nail-biting finish.But considering their performance, under the inspiring leadership of Shane Warne throughout the IPL series, the Rajasthan Royals were the deserving winners of the First ever DLF  Twenty Twenty final match and the glittering cup along with the prize money.
