The latest technology for wine tasters

How great would it be to be able to taste your wine before purchasing a bottle at a wine or liquor store? The Enomatic Wine Serving System offers you that opportunity and much more.  The latest technology of the wine business has the ability to preserve open bottles of wine by circulating nitrogen gas inside the bottle and then serves the wine electronically in a measured amount. What makes the wine system interesting is that it offers self serve options which makes it easy for wine customers to make a selection of wines before purchase. By using  a credit card the customer can insert into the machine and then get  the tasting of the selected wine.  It works almost like a snack vending machine, where you insert a card, push a button, and select the wine you want. Made in Tuscany, Italy, the Enomatic line of products is becoming a poplular tool for wine store and bar owners to attract more visitors. Currently the wine system is being installed in several Whole Food Markets around the country as a unique service for the costumers. The wine machine is also found in restaurants, hotels, airports, and liquor stores around the US and European countries. In New York you can find the first installed Enomatic at the Union Square Wine & Liquor Store on 13St and 4th Ave.

Both the novice and the more experienced wine consumer can make use of this wine serving system. With varieties of functions and characteristics from snack vending machine style to preserve and taste abilities, Enomatic is truly the Ferrari of wine machines. Wine lovers will discover many different wines of high quality labels, without having to spend a fortune purchasing wines that in the long run they don’t even like. The system works like this: The wine card can be purchased from the restaurant waiter, or inside the wine store. Bring the card to the machine to insert it beneath the wine bottle you’ll like to sample from. Above each bottle there are three buttons which offers a 2 ounce, a half glass, or a full glass sample. You can easily do your own wine tasting, and if you want more help you can ask the store for a wine guide. In the restaurants, the wine sommelier pours the wine for you and brings it to your table. The idea is that you can select from a wine taste menu a whole variety of old vintage wines you never tried before. The down side of this new invention is that it’s limited by the New York State’s beverage law. Customers are not allowed to serve more than a certain amount of alcohol to them selves. The machine also has a tendency to break down or start to leak. It requires a technician to service the machine on a regular basis, and they might not be avaliable immiediately. After all the machine is an Italian invention, stylish of course.
