The launching of agricultural task forces in Kakamega County

Kakamega County Governor Wycliffe Oparanya today has launched three agricultural task forceses at the county chambers of Kakamega county hall.
task forces that are targeted at finding a way of reviving the agricultural industry including sugar industry dairy committee and horticultural committee.
The governor had sleeked Sugar Company in the region to assist the county government in addressing problems affecting the sugar industry in the county.
Speaking during the launch, Oparanya revealed that county government has invested ksh 300 million shillings this financial year in building structures within the agricultural sector and intends to put a billon shillings in the sector to where it should be.
Oparanya said his county government will sanitize youth to impress agriculture and promised to support them trough training, credit facilities and knowledge acquisition.
Deputy Governor ensured residents of addressing all problems that famers are facing in the county.
The county has partnered with Kenya Commercial bank, co-operative bank and lake victora basin authority in addition to Ethiopian government.
