(Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name)
My heavenly Father, Almighty God, living in the heavens, Holy is the name of the Lord.
(Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven)
I pray the day, that earth becomes like your kingdom in heaven and that my will, and the will of all man, becomes your holy will.
(Give us this day our daily bread)
Give me this day my daily bread and supply for my needs.
( And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive thos who have trespassed against us)
Forgive me my sins against you, as I forgive all who have sinned against me.
(And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, for ever. Amen)
Let me not be lead into temptation by the evil one, and should I fall into temptation deliver me from his evil for the sake of your Holy Kingdom, demonstrating your power, glory and magesty for ever and ever.
AMEN!
Although Jesus teaches this prayer as a prayer for the masses to pray as a church, it can also be prayed as a personal and private prayer to Almighty God.
I like to make it more personal because my relationship with God is a very personal and intimate thing.
As a choir singer, one learns how to put feelings and expression into both the music and the lyrics, breathing life into a song, sort of like the way Almighty God breathed life into Adam at his creation.
Being able to do this with a piece of music, helps me to better experience God’s pride at the time of creation as God said that it was "Very Good" at the creation of man.
