The Mystery Found On A Stray Pit Bull Dog Leaves Many In Awe

ABC News reported a dynamite imagining story about a stray pit bull that was turned into the Greenville, S.C.’s local animal shelter. The dog was wearing a wide black canvas collar and tucked inside the collar they found a black-and-white photograph of a man leaning against a gate post or a railing.

Upon hearing this report, my mind had marvelous imaginations about the life of the dog…Could it belong to an old soldier that had memories left of his dog while serving afar and he had to leave it behind or a pet of a person who had lost a beloved pet and this was their replacement? Ah, there’s many imaginations we can come up with as “we’re” left waiting for an answer. I find this to be suspenseful and well worth a follow-up on.

The pit bull is 2-year-old and was brought into Greenville County Animal Care (http://www.greenvillecounty.org/acs/) on January 13, 2014. The photograph and the wide canvas collar don’t give any information about the pups past history.

Susan Bufano, the shelter’s media relations coordinator, told Good Morning America.com, “Who knows what story is behind this.”

The staff has named the stray pit bull “Soldier” because he has “no” microchip or any other type of identification tags for the shelter to locate its owner.

In my opinion the dog could also be a stray and a person may have claimed him for a day or two before the dog escaped into the world to roam without an owner.

Bufano stated, “This is interesting;” and asking, “The staff if this has ever happened to them before?”

It stated the type of collar the pit bull was wearing was also different from what is typically seen at the shelter.

There have been many phone calls and comments to the shelter inquiring about the secretive stray, but according to them there have been “no” explanations.

It’s my opinion this dog did mean a lot to someone because they had the energy to stick the photograph into the collar. The person might not have been able enough to write a note on the picture but they felt someone might recognize him and return the dog. It’s also my thoughts that the person may be a senior and the dog is truly loved.

I do hope someone will read this story I heard on ABC News, and if you know anything about the dog or who maybe its owner, please contact the Greenville County Animal Care at the Internet site listed above.
