LAHORE, December 07:-
The Provincial Population Welfare Department has forwarded the PC-1 of the project of establishing District Population Welfare Office buildings at the level of districts in Punjab. Each purpose built DPWO Complex would be constructed on a two kanal area.
This was stated by D.G Population Welfare Department (P.W.D), Khlaid Yusaf in a briefing given to the Minister for HR & Population Welfare Maqbul Elahi Malik at P.W.D headquarter office here on Friday. Secretary P.W.D, Syed M. Hamid was also present on the occasion.
The D.G informed that P.W.D district offices are functioning in rented buildings which causing financial burden. "The department has requested additional grant of Rs. 300 million from the federal government for executing the growing developmental work."
The Minister observed that people should be realized that population be kept limited within the resources. He appreciated the activities of the department for motivating the people to keep their families according to their resources.
