The resolution of Kashmir may help to eliminate extremism: David Miliband

London: The British Foreign Secretary, David Miliband, told the media that if the issue of Kashmir were resolved, that would help to eliminate the extremism from the region.

A similar statement came from the US-elect President, Barack Hussain Obama, in past, for the resolution of Kashmir but stubborn Indian side, always resisted the mediation in this case.

One of the ironies, the bilateral talks never yielded positive results between Pakistan and India.

As a matter of fact, the lingering issue of Kashmir that is the one of the major conflicts between Pakistan and India has caused 3 major wars between Pakistan and India.

In addition, the troops on the both sides are always on high alert and any misadventure from either side may propel not only Pakistan and India but also the whole region into a devastating war in the future.

India, in past, always ignored the resolutions of the plebiscite in Indian held Kashmir by the UN Security Council, and put some 7,00, 000 troops in the valley of Kashmir.

They are engaged in serious human rights’ violations, rape, target killings, house arrests of the Kashmiri leaders, killing of the freedom fighters.

In fact, the puppet government that is installed in Kashmir does not interpret the feelings of the Kashmiri people.

Moreover, the issue is still rotting in the dusty files of United Nations and yet to be resolved.

The British Foreign Secretary, David Miliband, is arriving in Pakistan on two days official visit, to held meetings with the Pakistani President, Prime Minister and other officials.
