The Nalanda was renewed for its ancient university. Which is now famous as a historical ruin? Many scholars and student from other countries used to come here for their research and studies. When Huen sung,a Chinese scholar and traveler, visited this university during the 7th century, there were around 10,000 students and about 1,500 teachers for the different departments.
But after being neglected for centuries, this ancient university seems to be in a revival mode to get back its past glory. Many Asian countries are trying their collective efforts to revive this university of Bihar as a centre of cross-culture understanding and learning. This twenty centuries old Nalanda university was really an architectural master piece of its period, attracting students from China,Japan,Korea, Persia and Turkey.
