Trees have many benefits. They are not only good for the atmosphere, but they are good for the earth. Trees convert Carbon Dioxide into Oxygen, serve as shelter and help stabilize the earth.
Due to a process known as photosynthesis, trees convert CO2 into O2. With this process, everybody wins. Plants get the carbon they need, we get the oxygen we need and the conversion helps limit the thing known as the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is where certain gases (such as CO2) are stored in the atmosphere, keeping the heat from escaping back into space.
Trees are a home to many animals. Many animals are alive today in the rain forests because of trees. They are a form of shelter. Animals can live inside them and they help block the harmful sun rays. In fact, even we seek trees for shade in the summer time.
Lastly, the tree”s roots help stabilize the earth. Many landslides on mountains have been prevented from the roots of the trees. They stabilize the earth because the roots keep the dirt in place.
All in all, trees are great for the atmosphere and the earth. Plant a tree, save a life.
