What makes EMO music or otherwise known as “emotional hard rock music” popular around the world is that it is not just about music but its complex, deep and vague lyrical meaning that delivers great psychological impact to listeners. Both the songwriters and singers of EMO music tries to imbibed to their followers that their music is much different from the others in which it tackles not only emotions but life and death.
The EMO culture speaks volume of weirdies. Their members are identified with the color black. They have long locks, black eyeliner, skin tight black pants and shirts and black nail polish with bling-bling on their bodies. The EMO culture is the new version of Wiccans, a group of cult-like-anti-Christ that has a support base from all over the world. These groups have their own publications and a few of them were authored by a Christian Cleric from Europe.
The birth of EMO music and culture is again another form of cultism that would take advantage of the weaknesses of this generation particularly the young people, the rich and famous, junkies, drug addicts, weirdos and the psychologically distressed members of society. The EMO music really attracts millions of followers around the world and in the Philippines adherents are cheering wildly and the lyrics whispering to their minds that the macabre end is near.
