While showing its concern over the cease-fire violence on Line of Control (LoC) the Obama government has said there is no change in its policy towards Kashmir and that it is for both the countries to chalk out the “pace, scope and character” of their cross-border talks.
On Thursday,State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki told reporters,”We remain concerned about the violence along the Line of Control. We understand that the governments of India and Pakistan are in contact. We continue to encourage further dialogue.”
Ms Psaki said that the US Secretary of State, John Kerry has not issued any calls to either of the two countries in this regard as the US has a very strong hold in India and Pakistan.
She further added that the situation has not crossed the limits to effect Afghanistan.
