The violation will not be tolerated from militants in Malakand division

Peshawar, Pakistan: The Provincial Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said the government has enforced NAR-2009, Nizam-e-Adl Regulation 2009, in order to bring peace and stop the bloodshed in Swat.

 

Talking to journalists in Peshawar he said now there is no logic of armed struggle, the Taliban should lay down their arms and stand by the government in its peace initiatives.

 

The government has established the Darul Qaza and the appointment of Qazis (judges) in Malakand division but it is strictly committed to establish its writ and any violation of the agreement will not be tolerated.

 

The provincial Government is coping with the militancy with its full might and there has not been any financial support from the centre so far.

 

Amir Izaat Khan, the Taliban spokesperson from Swat chapter, said the establishment of Daul Qaza in Malakand division is a unilateral decision of the provincial government of North Western Pakistan and they were not taken into confidence.

 

In addition, things have worsened in Swat valley and there have been reports of Taliban patrolling in different areas of Swat, today the Police station Mingora was attacked by some unknown assailants, the security forces in Swat have imposed a night curfew in the area according to media reports.

 

The security forces have been fighting with Taliban in Buner and Kumbar Maidan of Lower Dir, for more than a week, and have claimed killing of dozens of militants in the areas so far.
