The World Is Falling Down

Poetry From Barbara Kasey Smith’s Corner Of The World:

There’s unrest throughout the World
hatred and bitterness brews against
religions, races, and countries
it’s a constant conflict and squabbling
killings, wounding’s, destroying homes and towns.
The World’s falling down, the World’s falling down.

People perceive views through tinted glasses
philosophies against another’s viewpoints
all believing their word is gospel
their way or no-way…no compromising
Townships, homes, factories being destroyed
families and children killed and wounded.

The World’s falling down, the World’s falling down
no peace in sight, no agreements, hatred looms
people wrangle and debate…believe they’re right.
War breaks out, terrorists retaliate and mobs riot
there’s no peace in sight…other countries get aboard
agitation riles their people…they began to up rise.

It’s an upsurge of country against country
nationalities awaken their beliefs
it’s nationality against nationality
countries against countries
religion belief’s against religion belief’s
extremists, terrorists, radicals and activists get angry.

rioting’s, slaughtering’s, executing’s, butcheries
burning and bombing wrecks homes and businesses
The World’s falling down, the World’s falling down
people’s resilient opinions cause destructions and deaths
hatred continues to brew throughout the World
sensible agreements remain sealed in the room of debaters…

the World’s falling down, the World’s falling down.
