There’ll Be No Renewals But We’ll Meet Again

Poetry From The Heart

Dreary days fetch a saddened heart
leaves a soul feeling alone and blue
causes a mind to revert to lonely times.
His footsteps led to another world
tried to follow…barricades clogged
a briar patch landmark once visited.

Final exodus was unexpected…a shock
left an empty soul trodden inside
without words to whisper to him.
It didn’t seem just to take him away
I’m no judge or jury…only a human
aching with pain and countless loss.

Watch out for imprints fading away
no images to capture…to hold onto
time washes away precious milestones
beloved mottoes and breathed words
seized in time without another season
no renewal but an eternal meeting…

in Heaven where we’ll meet God.
